It is always such a treat to visit my hometown, but it is especially wonderful when I get to schedule portrait sessions during my trips home, particularly when those sessions give me the chance to capture beautiful photos for a fellow military family. Sarah, Jeff and four-month-old baby Avery’s Pensacola Beach family session was one such special opportunity.
Scheduling a beach session during a short trip home can be nerve-wracking, because our plans are so weather-dependent, and we don’t always have the time to reschedule. During this session, though, we couldn’t have asked for a better day! The Gulf of Mexico was a glorious blue-green, and the signature sugar-white sands of Pensacola Beach made a perfect setting for our photo shoot just before sunset.
The blues and whites Sarah and Jeff chose to wear complimented the beach location perfectly, and Avery in her sweet little pink headband was so precious and cooperative! Babies grow up so quickly, and preserving the laughter-filled moments between mom and baby daughter, as well as the tender ones between Avery and her daddy, were so moving. Photographing this sweet, young family with their first child was beautiful, and I hope to have the chance to schedule more portrait sessions with them as their family continues to grow!
