Rustic Christmas Family Portraits
A month ago I received an email from Jessica asking to have family portraits done. She was actually one of the bridesmaids in a previous wedding I photographed and at the time had been pregnant. Now she has a beautiful baby boy named Colton that did such a good job for his family portraits!
When brainstorming a location for their session Jessica wanted open fields with buildings or barnes in the background. She wanted a rustic vibe with her family wearing Burgundy, navy, and gray. There were a few parks in the area that matched her request but only one location I knew would be perfect!
I've always wanted to do a session at Camp Milton and this location matched Jessica's needs perfectly! After having to reschedule due to a crazy storm and cold front the night before everyone woke up early to make it to the session. The morning was cloudy and very cold! But that was much better than the rain the night before. And the cloudy day made the lighting even and easy to position all of them without harsh lighting.
And the outfits Jessica picked out for her family completely fit the surroundings. I swear, my families pick out the best outfits for their sessions! I'll be sure to do a blog post about what to wear to a session and include all of my stylish families. Always have an idea of what you want to get out of your photography session. I can help with outfit ideas and locations to help you decide.
I've also added a new scheduling link so that it is even easier to schedule your portrait session with me! All you have to do is choose your portrait session and a date and time that works for you and your family! Just follow the link HERE to check it out! And enjoy the pictures below!
